Incredible venue! Came here to see a band called Foxing and the experience was second to none. The sound, lighting, and staff were all fantastic. I’m not local to Southampton but would definitely travel to see more shows here!

As always, I had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the food was delicious. The staff were amazing, especially Jayser, whose excellent service made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for great food and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended!

We had an hour to kill for lunch as our train was cancelled. Found a lovely spot sat on a table for 2 outside papillon in the sun. It’s only a few minutes walk from Southampton Central. The interior of this bar is quite special too. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Had the fish and chips which was delicious. Batter was super light and crunchy, with a an attractive tumeric glow, chips were fat, crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside and the crushed peas were the best ive ever tasted. Perfect balance of flavour. Had a blue moon to drink - the best was to spend an hours delay at lunch time. Deffo recommend this place for food and drink.

The staff, ambience and location of Papillon is just fantastic. The rib eye steak, Papillon Burger and the fries was also really great. Only the Onion Rings were a tiny bit of a let down. They were too oily (dripping in oil and not the nicest taste either). The desserts was excellent; specifically the bread and butter pudding. The custard that goes with it was also awesome. I would’ve given it a full 5 stars if it weren’t for the onion rings. The staff are really friendly and really make the place welcoming and lovely.

Jayser is an excellent food server at Papillon Restaurant Southampton. He is always friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure every guest has a great dining experience. His warm personality and professionalism make him stand out, and he truly goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Highly recommend his service! Especially the restaurant

We recently had a pleasure of hosting a company event at Papillon, and I must say that it was an absolute success! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that our event ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue itself was beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our function. The layout was spacious and easily accommodated our guests, while the ambiance was warm and inviting. Overall, I would highly recommend Papillion to anyone looking for a top-notch venue for their next event. Me and my family went here for Mother’s Day we had the best experience, the mums got a free cocktail which where so tasty, the starters where amazing , and wow the roast is far by the best I’ve ever had and we’ve tried quite a few places in Southampton outstanding roasts being my favourite dinner , then we had a special Mother’s Day pudding made for us again amazing and it all tasted so good, throughout our time there we tried a couple of different cocktails so good, they allowed my son to shake his own mocktail which he loved doing , the service was brilliant we were all made to feel so special and it made our mothers days then little extra bit special thank you.
